Wow! What a fantastic day back. Thank you to all you parents that gave up your time to make the children look fantastic. It has been a full day.
We started by using atlases to find Mexico, look at the countries and bodies of water around it. These were then plotted on a map along with Chitchen Itza, one of the more famous Mayan temples.
After break we looked at the Mayan maths system, There was some great problem solving and times table knowledge being used.
This afternoon we looked at the foods and diet of Mexico and made salsa, guacamole and their own tortillas. Everyone tried something. Some definitely liked it more than others.
It was a great way to start this term and our new topic.
