Usborne Sponsored Read

The Usborne Sponsored Read will be taking place during book week again this year. All children are invited to join in, by reading as much as they can each day from the 4th – 11th of March and asking friends and family to sponsor them. All money raised goes directly to buy books for each class. There will be prizes for the children in KS1 and 2 who read for the most minutes and who raise the most sponsorship. Younger children who are learning to read can take part by listening to and sharing stories with an adult. Do please support and join in with this great event.

You can download the sponsor forms and reading log below.

P&A at Futsal Final!

On Tuesday 6th February, 11 of our Year 3/4 pupils took part in the Futsal Final at Beaminster School on the 3G pitch.
We were playing against Bridport Primary who were the finalists from the Bridport schools Collaboration.
It was a brilliant final with all our pupils playing superbly. Carter scored an amazing goal and we had several near misses where the ball hit the cross-bar. Bridport Primary eventually won 2-1.
It was a fabulous game with all our children upholding our school and sporting values.
Thank you to all our parents who transported and supported our wonderful children at this event.

Corfe Welly Walk

The reception children will be taking part in a sponsored ‘Welly Walk’ on Wednesday 18th October at 11am to help raise money for the outdoor learning environment. They will be walking, running, hopping and skipping around the field and may even have to negotiate a few muddy obstacles along the way!

Please remember to send your child into school with old clothes on and wellies in a separate bag.

#CEOP Summer Challenge

On Monday 24th July, we will be launching #CEOPSummerChallenge, six weeks of thematic challenges for parents and carers to complete with their children.

The challenge aims to support parents and carers to talk regularly with their children about being online and how to be safer. Each week, parents and carers can choose one challenge (or more if they wish!), from four options per age group, for ages 4 to 11 and 11+. Topics covered in the challenge will be:

Week 1: online security
Week 2: a balanced view of being online
Week 3: sharing photos online
Week 4: socialising online
Week 5: online videos
Week 6: online gaming

Parents and carers can follow the challenge on our Facebook (Click CEOP), where you can look out for posts every Monday.
